Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
This morning I am actually quite proud of myself for going to work. I don't feel like doing anything at all, but I know that I have to distract myself from all this negative energy in my life.
So here's the problem: my ex is gonna come over this week to collect all his things - we were living together for more than 3 years during our 4 year relationship. I already made it clear that I do not want to see him, so he's gonna collect his things while I'm gone! How do I deal with this anxious feeling of walking home later, not knowing if he already moved his stuff? The heartache itself is hard enough and I don't want to deal with this anxiety.
And how am I gonna cope once his stuff is gone for good? I won't move houses, because it's way too expensive on my own and I had my apartment before we even met.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

However, now 14 months later, I no longer see him here. I haven't changed a thing. Family photos still on the wall etc, with exception of the wedding photo which was replaced with our most recent Christmas card photo of just the kids and I. I didn't want to upset the kids changing everything all at once. As we build a new life, we are creating new memories that will slowly replace the photos on the wall. You will go on and you will create new memories as well. Hugs.
My friend was cheated for 11years. She spent 1 day to cry over it. He came to pick up his stuff and she told him to take the new shelves too. She says its free garbage clearance and the place is JUST RIGHT with the new space!
