I thought I had it all just until a week or so ago.... but I will have it back, someday, at an undetermined time....then I will appreciate it even more so.
I've found that we as outside viewers rarely know what's going on behind closed doors. You may know your friends better because you were closer to them, but I just found out that one of my closer friends really does not have a happy marriage as I thought she always did. I thought they were rock solid. Instead they fight a lot and are very catty and unkind to each other. I wonder now why they stay together.
Some happiness may be genuine and some may be only perceived. It's not good to compare ourselves to others when we really don't know what's going on, but I do understand your sentiment. I think that many of us here, having experienced what we have experienced will have our next relationships be that much better. We have learned a lot from our struggles and that will aid to make better decisions and have better communication the next time--making that wish for a good relationship a reality.
the next time that you see a radiant couple, ask yourself if you, right now, can and will be the first to radiate your love to your partner without a second thought about doing it.
we have to remember that it isn't that we need to have it so much as have to give it.
when i see radiant people, i see how un-radiant that i am and how far i still have to go to get back to that level.
i still have bitterness remaining to process out of my system.
I don't know if I'll be that much in love again, or if there will be someone who reciprocates it in that lovely a way, but I know altho I have brief pangs, and they aren't even painful, they're more like hunger pangs of the heart that are brief and fleeting, that if I don't ever have that sort of relationship again...that whatever will happen I'm going to have a good life anyway...I just know that for some reason. I don't know why, it's just a given for me these days.
(((hugs)))
You're a good heart.
So many of the women that I personally know who have great husbands are so damn MEAN....I don't get it.
I don't know that I'll ever get it or thy I even expect it
