All I keep thinking about is my wife seeing this other man, it's only been like just over 2 months, we were together for 12 years, why, does our marriage mean that little, she just says she's been unhappy for months so it's easier to move on, I've got texts from her in the middle of July saying how much she loves me?!? I'm starting to doubt my own sanity, it wasn't like she's making out, I remember, I was there!!, I never thought she'd leave cause she told me all the time!. Now I just feel sick, every time I think of them. I feel so betrayed.

I am in the same boat, we have been going on three months. Starting in June, had me sign divorce papers July 14 she was going to file 2 weeks ago and didn't. Now she decided to take her relationship public today and still hasn't filed. That is the same story I have gotten I am not happy he makes me happy so I am going to peruse happiness all while leaving me devastated.

I am going through the same thing. He told me he loved me up until the day before we broke up. He told me he had been unhappy for a long time and sure enough he was telling a "friend" from his last job he loved her and calling her his "other half" within 2 weeks after the break up. It definitely is hard to deal with. I just experienced my first "anniversary" without him last week. That was one of the only things I could think about. I wish I had some words of wisdom for you, but its only been 3.5 months for me.

I completely understand what you are feeling and going through. Quick info - 24 years, affair with our best friend's wife etc. I had about 6 months where all I could think about was them and it was horrible. What he was doing, saying, feeling etc to her. I couldn't control my thoughts. They were living rent free in my mind and I couldn't do anything about it. I'm 14 months out now. I can say that it takes awhile but the thoughts and images etc will stop bombarding you. Especially if there is no contact. It is a terrible thing to experience. All I can say is focus on you and if you have kids, them. Journal how you're feeling. What you write doesn't have to make sense. It's just for you. I'm so sorry. Hugs.

My stbx (have to write this often to keep me on my path) left about 3 months ago, this isnt the first time. but told me during the separation he was not going to see anyone and yet bc what is in the dark come to light i found out he lied. He has always claimed he was unhappy (14 years together) because we argued alot mostly bc of his actions and he would do such hurtful things but then say he loves me. As much as i want for us to be a family (we have a 3 1/2 yr old) we CANNOT. the environment for our child it more important. I started picturing him with someone else and i STOPPED. first its not healthy...and when i ask the same question why does our relationship mean so little ..his own mother tells me sometimes we cant know the answers as to why this happen... that is her issue not yours. if you can keep a no contact great.. if you can't because kids are involved then put boundaries its okay to stick up for yourself.
