What do you want?
My marriage was over, long before he left. He had given up and was increasingly cruel, until I quit caring so much. Then when the stress topped out, and I fought with him, he finally left.
It wasn't easy, and STILL is very hard, but it's been much better than that last year. Our kids still have lots of issues. And in some ways we traded one set of problems for others, Still a dad that was on his way to destroying his health and becoming a hard core alcoholic would have been much, much worse.
Divorce has been painful, but better overall than where we were headed. My greatest regrets were that he was headed in that direction at all, but I had no control over that.
It's not being heroic to stay in a bad situation suffering endlessly. It's like staying on a sinking ship. It may seem admirable to go down with it....but you end up dead. (mentally if nothing else).
I don't want my stbx back, no way, no how... The pain of the situation, and the future I will not have is what brought me here. The impending divorce finalization is what keeps me here, so it's possible to be on here for support without wanting your spouse to come back.
Again I'm sorry...
there was the intervention
the decision to try once more
her hugging you in your bed
are you trying to meet her halfway?
if not, it isnt going to work
What do you think would help?
Now I have since realized this was never going to happen, and I nor anyone was ever going to change her....
the best coarse of action in my opinion, fix yourself, I don't mean that there is anything wrong with you, I mean fix your obsession with her, let her go and find your happy... Quit wasting your energy on something you no longer have any control over, take that power she has over you away from her... make her realize she does not affect you anymore, and right then and there is your "Fuck Off" point... take care of what is important, you and your kids, if she comes back then, then you have the choice to chose what is right for you and your family....
