Nova..if you're talking to me honey.... i'm no smart cookie. Not even sure how i made it through high school. Long story, but man were those bad days. Anyway.......i love steak!!!
When my parents were just dating back in the early 70s my dad saved all his pennies and hitchhiked to see my mom and take her out for dinner to a nice place. (soooo sweet)
Anyways... he took her for steak. Now my mom comes from a VERY large family (10 brothers and sisters plus parents) so in her world if you didn't get the food on your plate you missed out!
So there they were sitting at this nice place... they both order steaks and sides... Dad is SO nervous that he can't eat his steak... he's got this lump in his throat that the food won't go past. He's so busy staring at my mom. My mom doesn't notice a thing... she wolfs down her steak then looks at his untouched plate and asked if he would be finishing his... all he could do was shake his head no.... she reached over stabs his steak and then eats it too!!!!
He said that's moment in their dating life... he knew she was the woman he was gonna marry.
funny thing is that neither of them even eat steak now because of dad's health he can't and so mom won't eat it in front of him!! they have been married 39 years this november... and going strong.
I aspire to live up to what they have someday... I might not make it now to 39 years married but I do want that forever... even if I have to eat his steak! lol
Now Rman... question for you... what if the woman you go out with doesn't like steak? I actually would prefer seafood or salad to steak.
