-Arroz con gandules - My first attempt at this and it came out freakin awesome!
-Fresh Naan-Indian bread
-Saag/Paneer-Spinach with homemade tofu/cheese (Indian)
- whole herb roasted chickens
--Salt & Pepper Shrimps
-Aloo tikkia-(potato cakes)
& last but not least-FLAN. My brother took the easy way out of making Creme Brulee. Lil rascal!
But this is what the kids are making for the parents. I've never seen a group of moms look so helpless and frantic. They have nothing to do of course.
Shocking because everything else on the menu is made from scratch.

I lived right next to little India in Toronto for close to 20 years. I have made everything on the menu except for the Arroz con gandules. I love Indian food. I bet I'm one of the few on DS who has chick pea flour in the cupboard.
Nothing beats fresh Creme-Brulee, absolutely nothing.
There's an Italian restaurant around here that the ex and I used to go to that had THE BEST home made creme brulee. You could see the black vanilla beans in it still. I introduced him to it and he loved it, of course - what's not to love? I was always tempted to pick up the dish and lick it clean - it was THAT good.
Ugh.... trigger. :-/
