as far as the collections go (and just saying from when I worked collections), they may still harass you...but, even if you make partial payments, they can't take further action against you...and if you want the calls the stop...you can fax them a letter stating to cease contact by phone...and if you don't want the calls at work, they have to take that request verbally over the phone and cannot contact you at work any longer, and if they do, you can sue their asses!

Thanks for all the good suggestions, everyone! As for counseling...I do have some anxiety and depression issues, I believe. How can we not, after all this crap, right? The ironic part is that I'm too anxious and depressed to see someone...

I hear you buddy with the anxiety and depression....how can one not going through all this. As for the anxiety for counseling..understandable for sure. Counseling isn't for everyone...but for me I felt the same as you did...but a part of me was excited because I knew I was doing something for myself....a start to helping me heal. Whether it worked or not...at least I tried. Think of it as a positive step forward....I don't know it helped me to be able to talk to a professional. I talk to my friends all the time...but I still find talking to a professional helps.

Yes, I agree with brat. You have to do what you have to do...yes, you are probably in state of suspended animation with the emotional abyss...BUT...you recognize it and it is getting worse with time. Please don't wait until you snap and ultimately do yourself harm which will have a detrimental impact on your little ones....
