I have two steaks that I am considering cooking for lunch. If I cook both of them and decide to eat the other one for dinner, will I be able to just re-heat the thing, or will it taste like crap and be all tough?

if you steam heat it up, it will not dry out as bad... sometimes I will do this in a fry pan on the stove with some seasoned water, cover with a lid, takes just a few to heat through.

Steak reheats terribly.

About the only thing you can do with steak leftovers is cut it up and saute w/ butter.

if you dont cook one as much it wont taste that bad, but i would cook it at the time your going to eat it.

Lazy. Cook the one now, and marinate the one for latter. Or cook them both and cut the second one up for a big salad.

Not a bad Idea, cook both now... cut the second one up in strips, recook in butter and old bay seasoning, place over a baby leaf salad and top with blue cheese and a nice vinaigrette..

I love the cut up and satay idea. You could do that, maybe add a little rue and put over needles, or you could slice it up and use for stroganoff.

If you steam to reheat it, that isn't so bad.

I use leftover steak to make steak and cheese subs....especially if you cook one of them kind of rare. Then you can saute onions, green peppers, mushrooms in oil oil. Cut up steak in think strips, add last to heat. YUM
