LKess just told me that she has never heard the term "cake cone," as it relates to ice cream cones. And she said they suck.

it tastes like soft serve. it's not really bad, especially for being so cheap.
Box of cake cones around $1.50 (been a while), 2 quarts of ice cream around $2.50. Thus $4.00 for about a dozen of them.
Ritual of summer.....priceless.
(And yeah, the sugar ones are better, and waffle better yet, but the waffle are way too big. My kids don't need to be supersizing until they're grown-ups. Oh and proud mama watched her 10 year old son do 200 sit ups, and daughter do 30 push-ups!!!)
And they make milk shakes with it. I'm talking about Milk Shakes other than the generic ones they sell.
