What do you find important in a burger? Is it the size, the look, the smell, the taste? I tend to enjoy a large double-grilled burger, with swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and avocado. The burger should stand tall, yet not be too perfect. When biting into the burger, your mouth should be wide open, burger smashed against your face and toppings dripping down your chin...

I am going to marry a burger one day...

My perfect burger, holds it's shape when I cut it half, and still has more burger than bun!

I like to dip each bite into the honey mustard.

What is a burger? Is it some fried piece of mystery meat from a fast food griddle?
Or is it a nice 1/3 lb of ground chuck and sirloin?

For me, the latter.

Grilled on a hot grill with smoke chips. YUM!
Med rare. It has to be cooked quick on a hot flame to get the right color and taste.

Pepper Jack cheese, 2 grilled green chilies and a huge plop of home made Guacamole... Maybe a Jalapeno or 2. Red onions...
YUMO!!!

Now I'm hungry.

aaah you are talking my language! it starts with a charbroiled patty and a toasted onion bun, then there is a thick layer of melted swiss cheese, grilled onions, that bacon sure sounds good, maybe a little mayo spread across the bun, but hold the veggies for me. i'll take my salad on the side thanks. hook it up with some garlic seasoned fries, or some onion rings. Holy crap I need to go find a place that will make me this burger!

mushroom and swiss is delightful.
I do love a bacon cheeseburger......bacon has to be thick and crispy though...... grilled to medium.....nice and juicy.....yum.

Sunday night I grilled burgers on my little smoky joe.
Mixed steak sauce, diced onion and lots of freshly ground black pepper into the the meat before making patties and grilling them.
They were delicious!!
