My Uncle, who I looked up to like The Godfather himself, took me to a race at Dover Downs when I was 11.
All I remember was that it was loud as hell, it rained, someone crashed, and I met the redneck that won the race (Bobby Allison...he was old, had his shirt open, was fat as fuck, and was drinking a beer.....little did I know this my own destiny....).
Fast forward to now. I have nephews that are BEGGING me to one day take them to Dover Downs. Who knew?
