I'm doing good, and you?

I am fine thank you. I went on a journey of self-exploration and managed to piss many people off along the way. I occasionally need to do this, just so I can see the true colors of a person. I have seen evil, in what was once beauty. The woman I am married to now, was once the most beautiful thing in the world to me. But I have seen what's underneath that beauty and witnessed what I believe to be evil. It is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I have learned that I need to see this evil in a person, to fully recover from the pain that she has caused. My eyes are beginning to open.

wb r...glad to read you are making progress. i feel like you can look into the eyes of some people and see straight to their soul. sometimes it's not so pretty. if only we could see that when we are in love. seems like a mean trick our hearts play on us.

yes but if we work on ourselves we will find paths that fit well for the family unit we have left.

its cheezy but i love the saying, it's better to have loved and lost than to never love at all.

reflection gets me down, i think thats why i don't participate much here.

Haven't you ever wondered why a person stays with another person? For example, you could ask a friend, "what the hell do you see in him anyway? He's totally wrong for you." But that friend still stays with that person because she doesn't see what someone on the outside can see. She is blinded by love, the idea of love, poor self-esteem, or whatever...It is only when this person can stop, look inside the person they are in a relationship with and finally see what's underneath the mask. When you can do this, then you can recover from the pain that a breakup, or divorce can cause. This doesn't mean that everything will magically get better and work itself out, though. Hell, I'm still married and living in the same house as my wife. But I have begun the slow process of facing reality and peeling away the layers of beauty that I have been blinded with...I'm beginning to see that perhaps I never really knew my wife. Perhaps she never knew me either, but either way, it's part of this warped recovery process I am going through right now. Am I making any sense?

yep, good sense. i think that phase was when i realized i was in charge of my future. i didn't feel so weighted down.

it makes perfect sense Rman. In fact I did the same thing myself when my marriage was going to hell in a hand basket. I began to realize how unsuited we really were for each other. How sick our relationship was for me.

so you are peeling the onion eh? Don't run off 'cause we love perv's around here. It's actually a cmpliment. :P
