As a small child my head got stuck in a large fish bowl. Almost lost my right eye. True story.

when I was a child I had a hairline skull fracture

my sister pushed me out of my highchair when I was 2, broke my collarbone ... she pushed me out of a rocking chair in to a Tv when I was 7, pushed a shopping cart over on me when I was riding on the bottom of it when I was 8 and then, hit a curb while I was riding on the handle bars of a bike she was steering when I was 12... just a few things that might explain me...

I also like water...

When I was a child,5 or 6 years old, I had a grand mal seizure while playing chess with my grandfather and next thing I knew I was in the hospital for awhile.

I know nothing.
But I do like water.

My sister kicked me into the coffee table when I was around 5, I needed stitches.

As a child, I was very clumsy. I think every picture of me includes a bandaid on the knee!

I was a safety patrol in 7th and 8th grade.

lol Rman! I was also the only girl in the aeronautics society. The school had a kit competition and I wanted to win the prettiest one so I made a King Tut kite, sequins and all.

Mine flew higher than anyone else's so I got an award, but not the one I thought I'd get.

I'm a water baby too.

We always had a pool that I'd stay in from 7am after my cereal to 9pm when my mother would notice my teeth were chattering.

And I sailed with my dad for years, crewed with him on his journey back from a year in the West Indies when I graduated from university. Some of the best time of my life on that trip - dolphins, manatees, rays and sharks -- catching our dinner.

Im jealous Joy! #1 on my bucket list is to learn how to sail.

I think I should have been a boy. My dad always used to call me the "second son he never had" because of my unusual strength. Truthfully, I hated that..I just wanted to be a petite little princess like my older sister.

Now I just go with it.

And while he used to praise me for being strong, now he hates that I can fight. He thinks its "unlady like" even though he was the one who taught me as a kid. I guess he liked it better when I denied who I really was all of those years. Oddly enough... he taught me how to box because my grandfather (my dad's dad) was a Golden Glove trainer and owned a gym. I had to hear all the stories about Gramps beating the crap out of Jack Sharkey when they sailed together on the USS Utah...but its NOT cool for a "girl" to do.

now Ive just rambled....anyways... I march to the beat of my own drum and could care less who likes it or not these days.

I was like the 2nd son too, although my mom tried everything she could to un-tomboy me (flowers in my hair, tights and patent leather shoes, petticoats, 6 years of ballet)
