I am really getting sick of winter. I am so ready for this to be over.
Lately I have been daydreaming a lot about getting the boat ready and getting back on the water. I have been wishing for nicer weather so I can take a long cruise. Hell, if I am not working at least I could be sailing. It is actually cheap for me to be on the boat because I tend to eat less, use less, and life is simpler.
One of my other hobbies is looking at and researching boats. I keep looking around at what is out there. Probably because I intend to upgrade my boat in the next few years and I want to know what to look for. I think that it would be cool if I was to get a job around the water to live on the boat. I have always wanted to do that, who is going to stop me now?
This is a nice change. The ex held me back in a lot of things and some of the things I had always wanted probably wouldn't have happened if I was still married. I intend to sail south for the winter someday when I retire and my ex would have never gone for that. That is a priority to me now and if someone is going to be with me, they are sailing with me. No compromise.

Going to name my next boat music....Comes from that Crosby Stills, Nash, And Young song Southern Cross....She is all that I have left, and music is her name!...
It would be funny to own a boat made by the company Southern Cross and name it Music!

Either way, I can't seem to stop thinking about it. It is nice because it takes me to another place and gets my mind off of some negative things.

Not a bad suggestion and I have sent out some applications for jobs like that in NOVA. Also sent out some apps for Gander Mountain and places like that. No one is hiring experts (I use to be a flyfishing guide too).
Wouldn't mind having a nice woman to share the voyage with though. At least she could take half of the midnight watch for me! LOL
When you get out there during a hot streak you catch a fish almost every cast and they fight hard! Excellent on a flyrod too.
I usually fish the fall line in the Rapahanock River in Fredericksburg!
You can fish them with a pair of waiders (Very important) and spin or flyfishing gear.
For flyfishing you want at least a 7 weight rod but I usually fish an 8 or a 9 weight because once in a while a very large stripper will come up in the mix. You want a weight forward sink tip line going to a 3-4 foot leader and shad darts or other shad specific patterns.
They fight good and will jump a lot.
