I was just outside. I had to step over a cricket that always comes over to me when I go outside. Then I stepped on the porch and got hit in the face by a bug...four times. That bug was stupid as shit for not realizing he kept flying into my face...I would have realized after three times...
Just keep your mouth shut...I'm just saying
I also keep a "trial" size roll on deodorant handy..in the event you forget to take a dryer sheet with you...the "alum" in the deodorant will calm the itch and take the swelling out of most bites.
Last week I forgot my dryer sheet one day...got a mosquito bite. Most people just get a little red, itchy spot. I get a golf ball sized "knot"...so I was putting deodorant on my arm..and my boss said "Um that stuff is supposed to go UNDER your arms!".
We have what the locals call June bugs, nope, they are HUGE monster bugs that are a bright green that fly around with a low buzzing sound..They somehow manage to dive bomb only me and get caught in my hair..I had one get behind my glasses the other night..I screamed like a little girl and tossed my glasses off of my face and have to have my son look for them..
There are all kinds of weird bugs in the desert and most are able to find me...
when i was a kid we used to play June Bug Cricket" at night...
spend the evening with a cricket bat whacking the hell out of them... we'd wake up in the morning to filthy gooey bats and a collection of dead bugs on the driveway.
