Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Hopefully he pulls threw. I listened to poison when I was younger and seeing him on the apprentice shows me he is a normal humble guy. Not the brightest crayon in the box, but neither am I.
Phil was up and taking a walk in the hospital with one of the producers just hours before he passed. They got back to his room and he told the producer, "I don't feel as good today as I did yesterday." The producer said something to the nurse, who rushed in, next the producer knew, there were doctors everywhere, and it was much after that, that he passed away.
He asked the show to film to the very end, because they "need and end to this story." They filmed everything to the end, but the show will only show what is OK'd by the family, on Deadliest Catch.
WASN'T long after that, that Phil died.

I'll admit it, I was a total Poison fan!
I watch the show and just saw the start to the new season and did not see a memorial about him. I am assuming they are waiting till the show catches up with his death.
What were the circumstances? Was he out on the boat?
Hi jacking this thread btw.
Poison >
Doctor's say his blood clot problems were directly related to his smoking, but he'd also go through a case of Red Bull a week, and ate the same high calorie, high fat diet as the deck guys. The deck guys average more than 3,000 calories a meal, but they need it, considering how hard they work and how long they go between meals.
They did a memorial show not long after he died. With the season, they are going to follow the story all the way through.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the boat. It was co-owned by Phil and the namesake of the boat, Cornelia Marie Devlin (she got all her husbands share of the boat in their divorce). She has the majority share, and Phil's share in the boat is now the boys'. They haven't said yet, if they'll continue the boat fishing. Phil told Josh to give up fishing, that there are so many other things that he could with his life. Jake is just too immature to captain the boat. He's been in trouble with the law quite a bit lately.
Phil was buried next to his mom, who died from a blood clot (thrombosis) as well.
