If I want to order some dirt for my yard, how much do I need to order for and a three foot cube of dirt? Three foot wide, three foot "long," (actually it's not really the long side if it is equal lengths) and three foot high?
How many square yards, or whatever, do I need to order...pervs...

Actually, it may take more than the estimate you gave, Bella, because once it is watered, the soil tends to compact so it would leave a depression (old time gardener here).. I always get extra.

a cubic yard of dirt, order a little more because it will compact over time..... unless you are burying something, then the decaying body, I mean plant material will require extra material to make up for the void.

To figure how many yards to order divide your area by 27 (3x3x3) to get how many cubic yards to order for any material.
