Has anyone else found that a lot of men on these sites think they are going to find much younger women? It seems like most of them are in midlife crisis' !!

This one guy thought he could order up the perfect woman right down to the shape of her face and thickness of her eyebrows! If I WERE his type i would NEVER answer his ad. And his profile pictures were 4yrs. old(that's what he admitted to)! He's not even showing how HE really looks!!

My sister went on over 20 dates through E-Harmony. The Christian site. . . not one of the men put up a current picture. They all commented on that fact that she looked just like her pictures. She said, "that's the point. to put up a current pic"

I've given up on younger men, thankyou very much. I want someone who is my equal, but with a young spirit (that better not mean immature).

I can understand putting out a request to the universe for exactly what it is you're looking for. Why not? doesn't hurt anything...and besides, as they all find out there are some great people out there that don't have everything checked off on the list, they'll realize which items are the must-haves :)

or, you know...maybe some of them won't?

Joydrop, I think it's great and useful to put a request out to the universe. The problem is when you put it on a dating site in the way some do, you can sound like a jerk.

I only very superficially tried out a dating site when I was first divorced (single parent meet) and ended up going on only two dates. One guy lied about his age by 20 years (said he was 38 and I was kind of worried because I was two years older but he kept reassuring me it was fine... well of course it was fine because he was pushing 60! lol).... I wouldn't have minded the age difference if he had just told me the truth up front- but the character flaw of being dishonest ended any interest I may have had.... oh well. I ended up meeting my partner the old fashioned way- through a friend of a friend of a friend.... :)
