Oklahoma assistance

ok, right now im homeless and pregnat, my grandmother in oklahoma has offered me to stay with her and have the baby there.... i was wondering if anyone knew what kind of assistance oklahoma can provide for a mother who cannot work at this time because she is sick? or benefits and such.

Froggy is correct...the welfare benefits are pretty much standard accross the map. You should be eligible for Medicaid, Wick and foodstamps. I wish you all the very best and take the grand opportunity that your grandmother has laid before your feet. Use this to catapult you into a great journey. You may also be eligible for the Pell Grant and go to school...welfare can reimburse you for childcare when you need it. There are many resources that our tax dollars pay for. Use these resources to get your footing but not to make it a lifestyle. Many prayers for you from me.

if you are getting divorced in oklahoma, you'll also be granted child care, where your ex has to pay a % of child care just like child support.

we werent married, i think i will end up taking this trip.
trust me, i paid 11,000 dollars of taxes last year into the system,
now i need help cause i cannot work, this is a high risk pregnancy... its pretty much looking like im going to be hospitalized and tube fed if they cant get me to keep anything down, not even water....
ive never met my grandmother, but she has been nothing but nice to me on the phone.... in a way the thought of just leaving feels.... refreshing...
