Hiya everyone. Today marks 6 months of me being separated from my ex wife. I'm struggling a little today, but I know I'll be alright. After all, it is just another day. I guess today to me feels pretty important. Do to me expending a lot of energy yesterday out in the woods with my friends, I'm tired today, so I think that might not be helping.
I did however, in part of the purpose to my post, was to thank everyone that has taken the time to try and help guide me through this really troubled time in my life. Without your help, I'm not sure I would be sitting here today typing this out. Having the ability to come here, and share and lay out my problems has helped me in ways I can't describe, and all the feedback and advice on how to cope with it has been invaluable.
I got another 6 months to go, before she will likely file the papers for divorce. I imagine that the next 2 months are going to be hard, as all the major holidays are coming, my birthday, our first date, and the new year. I'm doing my best to remain strong, and to be positive. Thankfully, I have some wonderful friends, who really do care about me, in their own ways.
If you guys don't mind me asking, how did you cope with your first holiday separated and alone? How did you handle your first birthday without your partner? I am going to be attempting to stay active and busy, in hopes that I won't think of it, but I sense I'm going to have to cope with the pain and feelings eventually, so I'm not sure what I should do.

And thanks Itsaboutme. I have been trying really hard, and I am progressing really good from a few months ago. As you can see, I'm working towards a lot of stuff, and moving on with my life. :)
