Yup....been feeling and thinking the same thiing for the last year.

my feeling exactly..i think its more like people are in search of a better deal..even while married or in relationships..its a lack of apreciation for what they have..very sad.

i completely agree with you. and its disappointing. ive tried to look at my friendships/relationships to see if im part of the problem. i dont feel like i give up too quickly- quite the opposite.

ive found too that when replacing for something new and fresh that those i have observed can only get to the same place they got to with me, to whatever area it was that there were problems- and then they flee again for something new and fresh. why are we so scared to look inside of ourselves?

When my stbx left, my father-in-law observed that no one, even his own son, valved the sanctity of marriage anymore.I believe TML67, you are completely correct. My parents have been married for 58 years. My inlaws for 50. How sad that I will never come near those numbers because I was traded in.And for some-one with a value far less than my own.

it carries over in all aspects of life...

I remember when I was a kid I used to work for a courier service and they furnished me with a beeper. Well back then only Doctors and important people had beepers. I was allowed to give the number out and made a mistake and gave it to my girlfriend...well dontcha know it...one day she started blowing me up...I couldnt stand it...so I went to the roof of my building...and threw the beeper off the roof...

That was then...now...I text too freaking much....on my blackberry that has more power than my old commodore 64...

Yep. No matter how much I told my husband he needed to be home and concentrate on 'our' relationship. He would run off with her and work on 'that' relationship.
Now says, "I'm still thinking about us" and, "I don't know what I want"
surprise! I don't rightly care what he wants anymore.
If he wants to throw away 32 years of a good thing (up till this past year) and try with someone that was so willing to leave her husband of 25 years, then he is more then welcome to it.
But I am the one suffering for it.
He tossed me away just like he always did the cars he was working on.

I've thought this for the longest time. In my line of work I run into old folks that have been married for 62 yrs, 55, yrs, and so on. Blows my mind. Throw it out & get a new one. . . .

Wow.....I was hoping I was wrong because of what I had just gone through.......it's a sad commentary.

I am like the old lazy boy chair thrown out in the trash, replaced by the newer flashier model that just looks great but has none of that familiar comfort. Those looks won't last either and then comes the regret of throwing out a perfectly good comfy person err chair lol.
