Divorce last July after 16 yrs and two kids. He took all the money, abandoned the kids and house.
Fast forward house was sold. I was starting move forward enrolled in College and was looking for a job. Started losing weight, feeling good. Found out today that he took the car off the insurance. This is after I paid his monthly car payment. I can't insure it or register the car, it's in his name. So now I have to scramble to buy a car. My daughter has a monthly MD appt over 30 miles away.
The one ray of sunshine, I filed for bankruptcy and now the state is going after him to pay support and the assets from the divorce. I hope they get every single penny. I hope it reveals his tax evasion. He didn't pay his taxes in order to avoid child support.
Overall a complete POS. Hope things are getting better for you all, I'm just gonna keep on moving forward.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
It's strange how someone can just walk away from their kids? People that leave their kids, never really were parents, they just had a title. I know that my ex was in love with money and the perception of a happy home life. He never really became a father, he saw it as a monetary obligation.
I can't remember if I posted when my 7 & 10 yr old realized their father wasn't coming back or ever going to contact them again. It was a four hour filled with crying and anger filled conversation. My son asked at one point can you find a good daddy to take care of us. I really want a good daddy. My DD just was like okay let's abandon him the way he abandoned us. I hope their therapy can help them move past this and no longer hate me for saving us.
So he took the car off the insurance to spite me. What he failed to realize is that if you have an uninsured vehicle your license will be suspended until you return the license plates. $150 the first 30 days and $7 each additional day.
Oh well, having the state looking for you and you have no license, One more thing, I have to go to Child support enforcement to report him for nonpayment, 6 months behind .
