My husband and I have been married 6 years and together for 10. Jan 5 we had a huge argument and the last couple of months we have not been in a good place. I was ready to throw in the towel but then I began to want my marriage and my husband. The last 2 weeks, we were working on reconciling and trying to get back to normal. This past weekend I was hit with a whammy. I found out my husband has been sending text messages to my 23rd old daughter. Text messages that did not sit very well with me. When I confronted him he said he sends his daughter (from a previous relationship and my children are not his) the same messages and showed me his phone. I can yes that I did some of the same text messages to his daughter but I did not see the same quantity, meaning my daughter received more. Text messages read to the extent of : good morning beautiful/ or good morning my goddess have a wonderful day. I love you. I told him they were inappropriate he says he cant believe I am accusing him of that. Thing is he and my daughter have always had a strained relationship they fuss they argue they just dont' get along. I haven't asked her why didn't she tell me about the text messages. I am so stuck. My head tells me to let the marriage dissolve but my heart has not released him yet (this is my 3rd marriage). I have so many unanswered questions. We are marijuana smokers as well and I also saw text messages where he had asked her on a few occasions to come over to smoke. I was not aware of any of these conversations and I am feeling betrayed by him and I have to admit by my daughter as well. We are very close knit so why wouldn't she tell me about these text messages? I have so many unanswered questions. Why was he so comfortable sending these messages. Is there a history I need to be concerned with? Had something occurred between the 2 of them? Or am I being one of those mothers who is placing some of the blame on the child (she is 23). Can someone help me???
My pastor said I should put him out. Which was a bit surprising to me. He said quite a few negative things and I tried to overcome his objections with being a praying wife and not giving up and my pastor was like no no no he has to go.
I would have a frank talk To find out the
truth if possible.
My ex got into that Texting stuff when he
was interested in helping some Woman
in AA.
Innocent or not i do not like it. It did not
lead down a good healthy moral road. We
Are now divorced.

Being a praying wife will not change - HIS behaviour. Your Pastor sees that.
When you talk about asking "them" to explain... the only thing your daughter has to explain is what her feelings are about getting the texts. She doesn't control the sending. Do not lump her with him.
When it comes to your kids, trust your gut.
Just looking at him every day is hard, talking to him harder and sleeping next to him even harder.
He has refused to discuss the matter and thinks that by avoiding the matter it will go away over time but he has placed some serious distrust between us that I cannot look over.
This matter isn't over by a long shot.
