Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I came here to DS, about 8 years ago. This was shortly after the death of my middle son, in a car wreck. Beings I had been through a Divorce years ago, beings I was once a Biker, a ex-alcoholic and drug user, I thought I might have the ability to help others in some way.
Beings I have been through a nervous breakdown and, dealt with depression since 1995, I thought I could also help those in the Depression Group. I have strived to be a caring, compassionate and true friend.
I have counseled with some of you, prayed for your loved ones and some have said I saved their lives. There are others here that I have gotten very close to and allowed you to see the inner me. Being an ex-biker, that was not something that was easy for me. Many of those I have so called "helped" have abandoned me or no longer want me in their lives. That's ok, I understand.
If I have touched your heart in a good way and, if I have touched your life in some fashion that helped you, then me being here these past 8 years have not been in vain. Since, I have been a Christian, I have strived to be a blessing to people, instead of a curse. Now, it is time for me to step aside and let others continue to do what they do. My thoughts and prayers will always be with you all.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

Wherever you go, whatever you do, be happy.
Have peace and joy in your life.
That is my wish for you
Psalm 37:23-24
If the Lord delights in a man's way,
he makes his steps firm;
though he stumble, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
Go with God my brother. May you find peace and joy in what God brings you to next.
I've not spoken to you though you are a friend of a friend on here so I've seen the tremendous support you've given to others. I'm sorry that you feel that everyone has turned their back on you - that isn't right and speaks volumes about the integrity of the people that you've been there for.
I hope you stick around. I think this site can very much use some wisdom and kindness. If not, I hope karma pays you back with hooking up with people that take care of you and support you. You deserve it.....
