I really don't want to fight with him- I really like that he is only minimally in my life (and I would prefer it if he was completely out of my life).

I know it 's not a new story to hear that an ex is not complying with the divorce decree... I have read some horror stories on here about what some ex's have pulled. Very disheartening... I was just curious- for those of you who are true veterans of divorce (not newly divorced like me)- is it your experience that you are better off to just let some stuff go (i.e. he's suppose to split medical/pharmacy co-pays with me- and he never does)- or is it your experience that these smaller areas of non-compliance will grow into bigger, more serious areas of non- compliance (i.e. failure to pay child support or dropping the kids' insurance). I don't want to be a jerk- so part of me just wants to drop it- but I also don't want to set myself up for bigger problems down the road. I know that these are financially tough times for all of us- so I can understand that he may be struggling financially (but he COULD get a part time job or have a room-mate if he really wanted to have more money- I have full custody of our three children- so getting a second job for me is not very realistic). I would like to be reasonable but I don't want my goodwill to get exploited. Any experience with this?
