I started no contact with him in September 2013 after we'd been divorced (hey, I can finally say that word) almost a year. He had finally pissed me off enough that I realized that yep, gotta do it. Told him to stay away from me. Don't call, text, email, etc. I was able to block him on everything except my land line..though I didn't tell him that.
November he calls me at work. I cant hear on the phone so I unblock email and text and ask what is up. He wanted to know if i'd received his emails and texts...I said no (duh)...He had messed up our bankruptcy (which is in OUR names but he pays) It had gotten kicked out, but it wasn't his fault and they were reinstating it. He just wanted m to know in case i got a letter. Which I did that day. Ok.. No biggie but as I recall having contact with him did mess me up a bit. Blocked him again, got over the depression started over. It didnt help that he moved HER here around that time.
Dec 5-called me at work. Same scenario..told him I would text/email. So unblocked him to find out what he wanted now. Still about the bankruptcy. A paper I needed to sign for the reinstatement. Didn't I get his text (duh). Was able to take care of that without seeing him. I decided he needed to know that IF he HAD to get in touch, he could call the landline. Then I realized, well i'm out of town a lot. I cant think WHY he would need me but if he did...so I told him that I would keep text open too just in case.
He said thanks. After the bankruptcy is over it shouldn't be an issue. I said "good". He said he didn't mean it mean or sarcastic and did I want him to not say hello when we run in to each other? I said neither did I. It is what it is. what it will be after the bankruptcy is..nothing. That it didnt matter to me one way or the other if he said hello, but I doubt we will run in to each other (though this is a small town).
here's the deal, I am writing a book about here: Just THAT much contact knocked me down again. Have not seen him since September. Contact has been text/email and has been necessary...but...here I go again...all messed up. HATE HATE HATE this

hang in there, you are going to get past this and be OK.
I finally hit his wallet heavy enough that he will never contact me again. I'm happy with that too.
He does still have the 2 dogs left. I'm sure he will want to get in touch with me if there is a serious issue with them.
It's not that he is bothered by the no contact or breaking it. These are legitimate issues. It's just that even the least contact knocks me down. I want him out of my head, out of my heart, out of my life. I dont even want to think about him or remember his existence.
I'm training myself to not look for him or his truck whenever I go out. But the least contact sets me back.
