Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

Everyone here has a different story. I wish most were as straight forward as your situation, but unfortunately, there are some tumultuous relationships out there, including my own. Going through a very nasty separation (her idea) and things continue to get worse by the day, I hope I can be where you are in time, but just don't see it happening.
And you're right. The whole thing is scary. Good news is you have a lot of people here who are going through the same thing and can help support you along the process. I know I've probably said this a million times, but the people who frequent here are amazing people. I honestly don't know where I'd be without this site and the great people on it.
I can definitely appreciate your level-headedness. I hope things go smoothly for you. Sounds like they will, you just have to have the confidence that you'll be ok on your own. Judging from your attitude, I think you'll be just fine.
My husband blindsided me after almost 14 yes if marriage. He had apparently been unhappy for many many years. What I thought was just the normal disconnect that comes from raising young kids was (for him) something more serious. But, he never said a damn thing. He was exceptional at maintaining the illusion that everything was OK. I didn't have a chance. Did not have a chance to face the issues with him.
I would have given anything to have faced the issues together. But, he never gave me the chance.
Divorce is worse than you can imagine... and the pain lasts and lasts. So.... was just curious if your husband really knows where your head is... .....
Clearly one too many glasses of Christmas wine....

Yes I wrote my thoughts here doesn't mean I want to be made to feel I'm some bad person and you did with your "non directed comments "
Perhaps you should read your Bible a little more and find something on how to speak kindly of other s and especially have a little more sensitivity .
Please do not post here on my thoughts again thank you .
I can say, from everything I have read or heard about her, that she had very good reasons for doing what she did. No need to get on a soapbox about it. She's a good person, and sometimes things are not so black and white. People shouldn't stay together just for the kids. Should that be a thought in their mind? Absolutely, and for her, they were. For people like my wife, not so much. Even so, I don't want my wife staying simply for the kids. If she doesn't love me, that doesn't work for me. However, my wife should not act surprised that the kids are not handling it well. That's what pisses me off.
