Thank you. I am young and disabled and cannot stop thinking about my fear of the future. I am heartbroken and lonely. I have been isolated for the last 12 yrs in a rural area. I am paralyzed by this.

I try to read, pray, watch TV, and my thoughts are continually invaded. It really sucks!

I'm sorry you had to find solitude here. Try to stay busy, don't think about the future right now. Take it day by day. Its going to be hard now, but you'll find a way to live.

Thank you for the encouragement. How long does these emptiness last? I'm ready for the hurt to go away.

I wish I knew. It's been a week for me and I'm still constantly checking my phone for notifications from him. We just have to take care of ourselves right now. The pain is going to go away, it has to.

Have you stopped crying yet? I can't seem to stop.

I am in the same exact situation. 14 years and then all of a sudden, she wants a separation and probably divorce. Just started speaking to an ex boyfriend as well, so while I don't think she's cheating yet, I feel she has the "grass is always greener" mindset, even though this guy treated her horribly before they broke up.

Anyway, I know it's hard, and I know the pain feels like it will never go away, but people are out there to support you. Thanks goodness for sites like this, because people are going through the same exact thing. It makes it easier to get someone's perspective who has been through it. Stay strong. It will get better.

There's no way to say exactly how long it takes for the pain to go away. But it does. This is a process, not an event. You will have good days and bad days. Good minutes and bad minutes. Eventually there are more good ones than bad, but it's a roller coaster. Ups and downs. Your mind will be going crazy, throwing all kinds of thoughts at you, and it's not the best time to have to try and figure out which ones are meaningful or not. But just realize that it's all part of the process. It's all normal.

It. Just. Takes. Time.

Your heart needs time to heal, it's the only thing that can do it. You just have to ride it out, let it take it's course.
You will be okay. But it's gonna suck in the meantime.

My heart breaks for you too. You WILL be happy again. We just have to remind ourselves of that. Also know this: you had a life before him. You will have a life without him again. You will be okay. More than okay. Big hugs to you. I get it. I SO get it.

It's okay to be hurt, we are supposed to be hurt when something like this happens. Whenever you truly love someone , you'll love them the rest of your life in my opinion, but that doesn't mean that you have to be together. In the meantime we just have to go on with our lives and be as productive as we can be. Life is too short to worry about people who aren't worried about you.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Situations like these are never easy to deal with and you can't really put a time frame on when things will "get better". Keep praying and asking God to help you get through this. Have you tried looking in to counseling? Remember it is okay to grieve just don't let it consume you. I pray you will be able to find peace soon and start to rebuild your life with your head held high. Don't give up ::Hugs::
