It still hurts like hell to accept that she left me for some asshole she hardly knows and who was my friend, when she kept saying that I was the love of her life and that she loved me until the day before she told me she was leaving to be with another man.
If we were friends for 10 years, and she still remembers every detail of our relationship in high school 30 years ago She is really attracted to me and have always been. I am still in complete shock and disbelief that she left me this way.We had something really special but she became depressed with her life situation having to take a second job. .
I dont know what to do with the pain, I can't sleep and when I wake up and I realize that she is with another man being happy when she was happy with me only 10 days ago, I cry a lot. WE were so happy together only a few days ago. I would appreciate any advice on this. It hurts like hell.

I know you feel like you have been punched in the gut. Please, gather people around who are supportive. Remember to take care of your physical self--sleep, eat, exercise--these are so important! Contact an attorney and a good counselor--a "dream team" as Cowgirl Kathi calls them.

HurtinandHealing gave excellent advise, and you will indeed be on the emotional rollercoaster for awhile, so it is essential for you to go into extreme self care mode.
Letting go is difficult, but necessary, and there is this site, many others, books, counselling, etc to help you through. Its not easy. Its not what we hoped for. But its life, and some things in this life we have no control over.
You *do* have control over how you handle this, and hopefully you will learn some here and gain some valuable insight.
This is very fresh now and I know it sucks. It gets better, just not overnight.

You have to do this soon, you have to break free and live your life to the fullest, because if you get to old age and your head is filled with regret about all you missed out on because you were riddled with this pain... then i honestly believe that will feel x10 worse.
So don't be that guy, in many years to come, sat with a head full of regrets and missed opportunities.. because this may be our ONLY shot at life (personally i don;t believe that but that's a whole different thread). Break free, my friend.
