Ok, most of you all know my back story on the girl that I have had a few dates with. I wanted to do something special for her. I have been having a horrible time trying to write a happy poem for her because I don't normally write that way. I have something that is okay, but definately not my best piece of work.
Let me know HONEST opinions on this one. Is it okay? Should I send this to her in an email?
Just Thinking Of You

Your hair blew in the fall breeze
And the leaves were all colors of red
Golds, oranges, and still some green
You talk to me without a thing being said
The mountain landscape was beautiful
Not nearly as gorgeous as you
Your blue eyes held me captive
For they are sparkling ocean blue
I was just amazed by your company
Just the warmth of having you near
Though the day was overcast
The skies were bright and clear
Now that you are no longer here
I think about you day and night
I can not wait to see you again
For your company makes everything right
Until then I will remember
How you sparkled on that day
And I hope that I will catch your eye
In the exact same way

But if this poem is her FIRST PERCEPTION of these kind of feelings you have for her, she may be caught off-guard and retreat in light of it's candid language.
Just send her some flowers.
Nothing wrong with telling someone you like them. I didn't make a statement implying that. Heave ask for an opinion. So, in my opinion, unless she has an inkling that he thinks about her day and night, that she holds him captive, all so-to-speak, then this could hit her from left field and she may run. Again, only Heave knows if it is a fit. Me, personally, unless you have said similar things leading up to receiving this, you are in overkill. Sorry. My take. And I am a woman.
