National "Ex-Spouse's Day"

I see where today is "Ex-Spouse Day"...

How in the hell or why would you celebrate it?? I can only imagine what the Hallmark card would read..

"You're my ex-spouse and this much is true.. I'm happy to know you found someone to screw.
You probably found them in a neighborhood trough, but now that we're done, you can both go F-ck off..."

Well, Hallmark may skip this day for some reason!! Anybody else want to give it a go at an appropriate card???

I mentally celebrate and smile when the anniversary of my divorce rolls around. It's kinda like celebrating my own "Ex Spouse" Day.

I don't know but I got it from a friend who is in radio. Each morning, jocks get material from services that they pay for and those services dig up obscure facts and stuff like that. Kind of appropriate for the day before tax day and a new filing status for the newly single...

I'll be right there with you on 8/5, TTMI. The court changed my date from 8/4.

I also felt the need to pass that along since my STBX sent a text today that she meant to send to one of her lady friends asking her if she wanted to meet up at the Vegas airport for lunch before she flies out. Mr Wonderful obviously took her again, hence the line about finding someone to screw. In writing that prose, I realized that I may have missed my true calling as a greeting card writer!!

As funny as this is to say, I have actually been told, by more than one person, that I would be good at greeting cards hahaha.

That was great "greeting card prose" John! I've been told that I'd also be good at greeting card writing....guess who came up with that LOL. Would love to write him a poem or two now.....

I CHECKED AND FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS "DAY"

When I first saw this post I wondered if Ex Spouse day was to be a Dean Martin Roast type thing or what the real purpose of it was.

My first husband is dead and my second spouse I haven't seen or talked to in a long time and that's the way I prefer it. But leave it to a minister to think declaring a "day" would make some "play nice."
