I'm not one to open up about my feelings but I feel like I need to talk about it to make it better. My ex-husband and I were high school sweethearts, been together since grade school. We have been together for almost 7 years. Got married last July and it was the absolute best for a little bit. Until the day he was with someone else. I was more disappointed than anything and our marriage ended. We are still currently married and working towards divorce. I recently had contact with him and he said he is willing to get this done with, which is what I have wanted for a long time. But something just doesn't seem right about any of this. I don't understand why I feel so upset about this more than joy. I just want this nightmare over with.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
relationship. You feel like a failure no matter whose fault
it is. I said my vows and was in for a lifetime and i meant
them he changed the game plan.
He wanted out and was no longer committed In making
the marriage work. When they do that they are checked
Out emotionally and long gone mentally.
Cheating is A choice most of the time, its usually been
brewing for Awhile and your stbx was ready to go. If they
no longer love You, they no longer respect you then they
Will Often cheat as a way out the door and to not be alone.
Going to www.divorcecare.org will help a lot with dealing with
The grief and the divorce process. Talk to a therapist to help
You cope and guide you. There are a lot of hard emotions and
Feelings to move thru and to face. The grief is pretty intense.
I had no joy over my separation and it had been bad for 12 years.
It still did not negate all the feelings of rejection, betrayal, hurt and
pain. I believed in us before the bad started, my heart hurt and
That takes awhile to heal, HUGS
Its recommended to Wait a year or longer after
the divorce to consider dating. I am two years
post Divorce and not ready yet. You should get
to know yourself as a single person and learn how
to be alone and to be okay with that.
People like to judge you and your grief when you
are divorcing.. Like get over It already and move on
and put a huge smile On your face. Your grief makes
them Uncomfortable. This journey is about you not
them and what makes them feel comfortable.
I do not get the feeling of judging from people now but
i did, i appear happier And more normal on the surface.
I am not Cured, i pray for indifference.
I do hope you get into therapy and join a divorce care
Group. I went multiple times and for as long as i needed
to and i took all the healthy help, love and support i could
find. To get better and move thru all the powerful feelings
And emotions and to detach from my ex.
You have had huge changes so be extra gentle and kind to
yourself. Moving and divorcing are stress filled events, HUGS
