It's been a cycle for yrs. Good and bad times. But just recently we had a huge fight cuz again he was drunk. He called me some pretty awful names that he hasn't before and then leaves to go party with his friends. I'm just like hurt and sad. Then mad but again sad. I couldn't help it but I begged him to come back but he's blowing me off. I'm in so much pain....y????

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. It's been some time since my last post...sorry. I've been going through a challenging time with the sale of my home, purchase of a condo and my adult asperger son that lives with me. Good luck
You are presently at a crossroad of your life where the hard decisions are made. I agree with the other readers when stating the obvious, “it will only get worse.” You should seek the advice from a counselor in how to proceed with an alcoholic. It’s hard to help another if that person has chosen not to help themselves. I know it will be difficult to make those important and hard decisions to move on, but you can do it. You are in the valley of your life, but always remember, it is the valley where strength resides.
Best,

My advice for you is to get away from him quickly. Do not waste your 1 life on this man that will NEVER give you true happiness. Get your self some help also and figure out what attracts you to a guy like this?
Big Hugs and best of luck!
