I have been listening to some of the music that I like and it gives me strength. I really like Jimmy Buffett (who would have thought that the cruising sailor would like Jimmy Buffett) and some of his songs really hit home right now.

He did a re-make of Southern Cross. The song has a verse in it that goes:

"Once you've seen the southern cross for the first time,
You'll understand why you came this way
And the truth you've been running from is so small
but its as big as the promise, the promise of a brand new day,
And I'm heading on the waves
my tears are a dying
and my love is an ancor tied to you, tied with a silver chain,
I have my ship and all its flags are a flying
She is all that I have left
and Music is her name."

It is sort of inspirational to me....All that I feel that I have left is my boat so that also relates to me. In a few years I am going to move up to a bigger boat (my retirement home) and I am going to name it Music because of this song.

Another song by Jimmy Buffett that really hits home is Breath in, Breath out, Move On. Here is a part of it:

"I bought a cheap watch from the crazy man
floating down the canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just reads now
Now you maybe thinking that I was had
but this watch is never wrong
and if I have trouble the warrenty says
Breathe In, Breathe out, Move on."

Great song and it makes me just think about moving on no matter what. It always just reads now. That is such a great thought. The time is always now and if we have any problems we just need to take a deep breath and move on. It is so great!
