it's called your breaking point..........

Your body will try to detoxify itself and your health will deteriorate. It has to come out one way or another.....stress leads to physical ailments. Are you trying to see how far the rubber band is going to stretch?

The human body is capable of a lot, but I don't think it can sustain that forever.

When you get to that point your body will shut down if it needs to, and you will literally sleep it off. I have been so exhausted that I was in physical pain before, and my body just put itself to sleep.

that is when a person experiences just how together they are deep within and didn't even know it.

why? because under it all, we lead with our heart.

exhaustion is the perfect time to let our houses of cards fall down so that we can return to sanity. lol

No more meat, no more women, no more tacos.

The human organism is amazingly resilient....to a point. (Look at the psychological/physical trauma Holocaust survivors endured). The instinct to survive on both of the afore mentioned levels is phenomenal. The key is to identify the stressors and to figure out a way of minimizing/eliminating them to the best of your ability. The effects of stress are ongoing and progressive. Continuous exposure to stress factors will slowly deteriorate your health and well being. Don't wait until it is decided for you to see "how much your body can take". Get off the pot and be proactive before you no longer have the choice or ability to regenerate.

I'm getting very close to finding out.

In all reality... it's time to step out of the vortex and take a vacation. My boss was gracious enough to give me an unscheduled vacation about 3 weeks ago when I was on the ledge. I really needed that week off. It was a requirement.

for some reason, the Tom Hanks movie, Castaway, seems like a relevant analogy.

Hanks was caught up in the rat race and thought that was what life was all about. Then, destiny jumped in and detached him from his world. As a result of prolonged detachment and detoxification from stimuli, he began to perceive much deeper, simpler, realities and grew to be distasteful of the glitter of our modern, Las Vegas style civilization.

I wonder if there will ever be a sequel to Castaway. I wonder where, at the end of the movie, the country road led him to.

I ended up in the Emergency room once after such a story.
Summer of 2007 and I am still not totally back to my old self physically or mentally or financially. However, I am currently on the fast track to mending both my mind and my heart.
