The reality is it might never happen but there is always hope in dreams and imagination.

The fact that others DO have those amazing kinds of relationships is a reason to keep striving for that ourselves. Luckily for us, Some people have actually seen love. ;)
I'm glad for you that you feel confident enough about the future and love in general that you want that for yourself and still think it a possibility. Don't let that go. :)
All my life I have desperately been seeking love from others.
I have come to realise it is because of the lack of it in my childhood. My mother was a person who was able to take care of our physical needs but was not able to make us really feel loved - she is not the loving warm and nurturing kind of mother one wishes for.
Anyway. I recently came to realise that it was this desperate seeking of that love from others that has actually caused me so much heart ache and pain in my life, and that has led me to some very harmful and destructive behaviour.
I have finally come to understand that I need to look for that love in myself and from God, and now as I am finally learning to do that I am feeling far more complete and content in my life. I actually am more able to feel the small amounts of love I receive from friends and family.
I find I no longer have that desperate craving within me, and am getting on with just enjoying lving my life. Hopefully maybe some day I may be lucky enough to have that mutually loving, healthy relationship with a good man, but if I don't my life will still feel complete and good.
I pray this can be the same for you!!
But because love can not be measured in spoons or containers, that doesn't make it fake or fantasy. I do think we need to believe that love is possible or we will not try to have it in our lives.
