Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Many people go to a therapist to help
During this time. Depression is part of
The package of grief. Divorce care.org
Is a great program too.
Keep reaching out to loving caring
healthy people for support. This is
A long hard journey. I cried for four
months after my ex left. HUGS
You're hurting right now but it does get better. A little each day. One baby step at a time. I know this because sadly I've had more than my fair share of heart break. (Turns out, I'm pretty lousy at picking men to fall in love with!) If you really feel like you can't go on, seek professional help.
Hearing that time heals all wounds is the last thing I want to hear while going through moments like this. In fact, when people say to me I imagine punching them in the belly. My belly is a mess, maybe theirs should be too. But, it's true. Time will pass and you'll find yourself waking up one day ready to embrace whatever chapter is next for you.
I'm right here with you feeling like I've lost the man I should have grown old with. I believed in him perhaps more than he believed in himself. My story is long and irrelevant, but I want you to know you're not alone. I've found a lot of support already on here and I'm new myself! Keep talking to us. There are some great people part of this group.
Be patient with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Allow yourself to ride this crappy emotional roller coaster because once the ride is over you'll be stronger and more confident than ever. I'm starting to create a list of "healthy boundaries". Since no relationship is perfect, I need to have clear picture of what I'm willing accept and what are deal breakers. I'm not sure I've ever been considerate of my own needs … and it's about time I start! Perhaps this is something you can work on too as you slowly gain clarity on what sort of connections make you happy.
Hang in there. Hugs.
Write down all your feelings in a journal. Swear if u need to. Know one has to read it but u. The feelings of pain sometimes stay on the paper when u write it for some reason. Im still healing. I cant wait until i feel completely safe again with a man who truly loves me 4 who i am. Because as weird as my laugh is, and as bad as my baby belly is, someone will love it, because im a loving and caring person. And they will see me and love me. He's out there, trust me.
