It’s been a rough couple weeks and belt my ex back into my life a really dumb mistake he was with me for four days and then he left again it took such a toll on me this time I sank into a deep depression trying to figure out why I’m so replaceable and feeling so worthless about myself I decided that I needed help so I’m in counseling something I should have done a long time ago I have pushed my feelings down so much and just been working and working not having time to feel anything and it has finally got to the point I can’t do it anymore I’m hoping that I can get to a point again where I see myself the way others see me

You are not replaceable. You can never be. I'm glad you are in counseling and I hope that you realize you come first...with you. Please make it a priority to put yourself first.

You are amazing!! It is easy for people on the outside to make suggestions, I understand being on the inside of a relationship that was back and forth all the time...married 25 years!! 4 kids !!! Do not ever let yourself be someone's option! You deserve to be wanted and loved and cared for.
My ex and I were back and forth all the time, it was awful, every time I would let him back within a month I would regret it again.
Be strong!! You can do this, Stay busy, get help, be positive. Good luck!!! I am cheering for you!!

Feel the same way. But trying to stay positive and think that the right one will love you and never leave you is needed during those hard times.

I know that is hard to be so positive when everything seems back and forth. Think about what is good about the relationship and what is not that great, the old pro vs con list. See where you stand, try a very candid conversation, you have nothing to loose but be completely honest about how you feel, what you need, and what he wants, needs etc. If nothing else, maybe the conversation as hard at that could be, will at least give you a better idea of what would be best for you at this time. Just a suggestion. The back and forth up and down is very hard. I did it for 25 years, I wish I knew in the beginning what I have learned since the end. Good luck - BE HAPPY!!!

I finally feel lik it is over between us he has made some choices in his life that have made me realize that I will never be able to be with him again and that makes me very sad and angry but I am okay and will be happy someday again

So maybe this last time was exactly the closure and clarity you needed. Hopefully we all get to that point and are able to breath freely again. It took me years to finally acknowledge that my ex was really really indifferent toward me. Once I got it, it was crushing, it literally brought me to my knees. I'm so over him now, I'm so glad I did what I did to end it. Healthy and peaceful beats the nonsense I had with him. You can be happy some day, for certain. :)
