I just ended my two year relationship with an alcoholic psychopath. I am a widow with 3 children from my first marriage and currently 4 months pregnant from the alcoholic....my breaking point was this Christmas eve when he drove drunk with my 3 year old and 9 year old end passed out at the wheel..... I am going through so many emotions....I'm just looking for support on here....a comforting word or thought ...... Validation for the decision I made my my kids...living and unborn.....to hear that I am not crazy and did the right thing......just....something

God bless you. I just had the second anniversary of my alcoholic wife passing away. The extreme pain is more than people understand. I was having a mini panic attack this afternoon and went to an Al-Anon meeting. There are people there that WANT to help you. I have never met a more supportive group of people. They helped me through the darkest hours. Google meeting times near you. There are meetings daily. God bless you, I wish I could give you a hug.

You are doing the right thing,... this is a hint to you of what could be the future and next time it may not go as well, You will have a journey ahead of you with the 2 kids you have and a new born , with that journey you may want any help you can get even if it is his, but trust me it is not worth it and it is better for kids to come from a broken home than live in one. You are the one to protect the kids and your doing that . It will be hard to do and follow through but think of what if you did not do this what kind of life would the 2 kids have and the new baby ? It is not fair to them nor to you. He needs to get help and only he can do it, try not to enable him he has to fall in order to rise. I hope this goes well for you, just remember you are doing the right thing. It is not a bad idea for you to seek some support with someone that is with the YWCA or offer you guidance through this .

This is the greatest decision you've ever made. You are saving yourself and your children. Please don't second guess yourself, he is a terrible accident waiting to happen. There are many great organizations out there to help you. Don't allow anyone to judge you. You left for all the right reasons. It will be hard but you can do it. God bless you and your children.
