Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I just wanted to share a bit of my week. I've been way overworked and busy, busy, busy. Yesterday, something happened at work and I let lose on someone who I felt was being unethical. I don't get mad often but when I do I don't hold back and yesterday, I didn't. The whole room came to a standstill. LOL They aren't used to seeing me like that. I walked off and left for a bit to get it together.
I calmed down, took a drive and thought about my mantra;
"How people treat me is their Karma; how I react is mine."
I went back, went to the "offender" and apologized for my behavior and asked for her to please forgive my poor treatment of her. She also apologized and I thanked her and told her that she can expect better from me in the future.
I also apologized to my coworkers and my boss.
My boss thanked me for taking the high road, and than laughed and said "That was out of character! We thought maybe you got hit on the head or something!" LOL
Anyway, when I got in today, the "offender left a note on my desk and said that she was ashamed of her unethical behavior, and my apology made her realize that she didn't want to be that kind of person and she was going to straighten up and thanked me for my example.
I felt good about my choice, but mostly I want to remind everyone that sometimes it's better to be happy and calm than "right".

I went to the doctor a while ago to see about my allergies. He rubbed my arm and stuck things under the skin. Nothing. He poked and prodded, his phlebotomist drew so much blood people thought that we were dating. The tests all came back negative. Then one day I went back and I told him that I had found the cause of my allergy.It turns out, I am allergic to betrayal.
