Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

I don't believe in karma. I believe it's how you choose to do things that determines how things turn out for you. There is some stuff that you can't have any control about, but most of the time it is how you make decisions.
Try to learn from your mistakes and don't make the same ones again.
I have been angry for most of this year. Lately, I have been allowing myself to uncurl. My body reacted as I tried to do this. The mind is a powerful thing. I actually got muscle cramps. I realized that the ball is always in my court. I just need to return the serve.
Bad things happened to me and I have done bad things onto others. I never got punished for my deeds but, I decided to grow the fuck up and take charge of my future endeavors.
I'm not as angry. I'm not as tired. I'm not as bitter. I'm not as sad. It just starts from me and noone else. I also took stock in my role. I saw my light. I will work on me.

life is not a quantifyable thing. it just is. you are winning at life already. we all are. only losers keep score.
score keeping is only to hone our skills. it is merely a secondary tool.
I look at earth as school. We are here to learn valuable lessons ( often very painful).
Through all my pain and suffering, I stay positive and look at what I have learned. Without those painful lessons I would not be the person I am today. Am I perfect? No. Have I gone out of my way to hurt others? No. Have I hurt others? Not intentionally....ever!!!
Do I believe in Karma? hhhhhhmmmmm.....not really sure. I do believe you reap what you sow. There are consequences for every action as well as a lesson to be learned. I've made some really bad choices and had to live with the consequences. When I started making better choices, the consequences were and are well worth making a few bad decisions and I learned to be greatful good or bad.
I think it is more about the choices we make in our life!
The end result is a pool of eligible users that represent (hopefully) average, positive contributors. Occasionally (well, every 30 minutes actually), the system checks the number of comments that have been posted, and gives a proportionate number of eligible users "tokens." When any user acquires a certain number of tokens, he or she becomes a moderator. This means that you'll need to be eligible for many of these slices in order to actually gain access. It all works to make sure that everyone takes turns, and nobody can abuse the system, and that only "regular" readers become moderators (as opposed to some random newbie ;)
And that's how Karma works.
On slashdot.
I don't think it ever met that you'd get your rewards or trials in the same life.
As for me....I don't really believe. I quit thinking about it. Honestly, many years ago I was starting to get bitter thinking about how I'd done things to help certain people, but it never got repaid.
Since the divorce, I've HAD to put myself first to get through school. And in doing so, I've let some of those toxic relationships fall at the wayside. Oh I'll still help, when and if it fits into my life, but I don't knock myself out over it anymore. It's made life much more peaceful in some ways. And I just no longer see sticking it out and helping people who should really be helping themselves as 'doing good' anymore.
In short, I've stopped enabling. And I've come to see some of the things I did in the past as less good.
But hey, life and learn. I do my best, and that's good enough for me to sleep well at night.....
