The marriage was dead a long time ago. The grief period has long since ended. I guess signing the papers was like going to the cemetary to visit a grave if you know what I mean.

It is definately bitter sweet. For a few years I was in heaven but how quickly I fell. The marriage became harder and harder and I was the only one working at it. I am much better off without that poisoning my life. It was affecting everything, including my health.

The future is open. Maybe this is another one of those things that I will reflect back on and say "I didn't understand it at the time but now I am glad that it happened." I believe that it will be. All things happen for a reason and we are guided in certain directions.

There is the perfect someone out there for you - I'm sure of it. You are a decent, kind-hearted man - any woman would be lucky to have you in her life.

It is interesting that this whole thing will be going on throughout the holidays. Merry Friggin Christmas I guess. Oh well, I won't let her ruin another year for me.

She was like a fowled anchor that you can't free. You can dive down there and try to free it but sometimes it isn't going to work. Eventually you have to say forget it and cut the rode.

In the end we all have to remember that the trials of life are cruel but time moves on no matter how bad we want it to stand still. Nothing lasts forever and change is always constantly looking us in the face.

I look towards the future and realize that it will be a better place. Things will happen and change will keep coming. Just because this chapter in my book is closed it doesn't mean that the book is done. It means that a new chapter is beginning. Not all chapters end with happy endings and not all chapters begin with happy beginnings. There has to be middle ground between the two points.

I think that I am over the worst of it and I am now climbing the hill but the grade is not nearly as steep as it has been and I am very close to the top.

I'm sorry, Heave. I know this has to hurt even though you've made good strides toward working through your grief.
