Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
So you already said she is not sad or upset at the breakup and is having the time of her life. You, on the other hand, are hurting pretty bad.
I don't know how long you have been broken up, but how about limiting the time you think about her and your relationship to one hour per day. The rest of the day you must think about something else. It isn't impossible, but the idea is to get you to refocus off her and onto other things.
Your time spend focusing on her is time better spent focusing on you because you are now more important than she is. You have to figure out how to get past all this and go on.
Please take care of yourself. Many, many hugs.

Sounds like she may be the type to hold back feelings rather than talk about them in the open, which has a negative effect on a relationship. Maybe when you were talking about the future, she had the other feelings, of a different life that didn't include you, in reserve.
You can't tell yourself that you meant nothing to her, because obviously you meant something to her since she was with you for 4 years. Try not to dwell on these thoughts all day if you can help it.
