Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I joined this because I am lonely and really feel a need to vent. So my wife and I after 6 months of counsling and nearly 2 yers of arguing have agreed that the right move is to divorce while we can stil tolerate talking to each other. We have a Sophmore daughter in Nursing school and a Senior HS daughter as well. When we made the decision to go through with the divorce I asked that she waits to talkt to tell the girls until we can both be there in person. I come to find out that she talked to them alone and feels that it's no big deal. She says that they already knew what was happening and they just want both of us happy. Well, this was nice to hear, but doesn't she think that I would benefit from hearing that also and be able to field concerns that they might have.
I also found out that my wife told her friends at our church and had already asked them to help her find a place to live. I haven't even been able to tell a soul in my life. I just can't get over the fact that I feel ashamed that we failed at our marriage. I love my wife for she is a human being and child of God, but I can't deal with her angry ways any longer. She can be venemous at times and I can't stand being around her. She had a horrible upbringing and we got married quickly. After reading "The five Languages of Love" I realize now how important it is to share common beliefs and have common goals. Opposites can attract and work for the short term, but once everything clears out and it's just the 2 of you to deal with each other, we tend to see the differences rather quickly. I realize how quickly she can get angry and things can excalate, so I just am doing my best to make her happy until everything is finalized. I would appreciate any advice that others may be willing to give. I realize that my subject bounces around a good bit, but please understand my frame of mind isn't the best right now and I just need to converse with others in my situation or who have experienced an angry spouse.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

It's been some time since my last post...sorry. I've been going through a challenging time with the sale of my home, purchase of a condo and my adult asperger son that lives with me. I've had days where I couldn't get out of bed, days where I stayed in my pj's and days where all I managed to do was eat, drink fluids and take care of my Sweet Mia kitty. Sweet Mia came to me from a shelter about...

Www.divorcecare.org. I went multiple times it helps a lot
With the grieving and being with others going Thru the
same process.
The grief process is pretty intense along with the Divorce
process. To me the divorce was something to just get thru
and endure. Its was Very unpleasant from start to finish. It
Was not what i wanted.
Many have issues when divorcing, i hope you talk to others.
Once you start getting honest and open the shame has a Way
of dissipating in the light of day. If you gave it your best Shot
and you two can not live together anymore in peace its probably
For the best.
If a relationship has become toxic there is generally not much
Fixing it or any hopes for reconciliation. IMO. HUGS
She is doing what she thinks is best for her not the team of you two
Wake up !
You need to do what's best for you
Her tellling your kids by herself was a selfish bitch move
You are a dope if you think she is going to play nice
She showed what she is
It doesn't mean you have to play nasty
But
You should start playing fur yourself
Reading your story I found many similarities with my but you don't say the reason of your divorce if there is some sort of infidelity or just lack of compatibility. But I relate with your wife and I don't think when she talk to your daughters about the divorce she did it with malice because I did the same and I just did it without my husband because I wanted to talked to my kids and know their points of views about what we decided and they were just as your daughters very mature and not taking any sides. Please don't think that everything is made with malice when you are going thru a divorce everything is a fight and your spouse is always a whitch, same says my husband about me. Please don't always think that what she is doing is to hurt you, she is facing hurt also remember. Hope everything is well with you
