One phrase we all need to remember when it comes to dealing with our exes is that "It's Over!" That is right....It is over. When the decision was made by them or us to leave, it was time to start a new phase of our life.
It is so easy and natural to be hurt. How could they do this to me? We make ourselves the victims of this event.
WE AREN'T VICTIMS!!!! We are survivors! That is right, we have survived hard times before and we will survive them again. Remember that you were once your own person and you were happy before you met your ex.
Life moves on, distance from the event makes us heal more, but the fact of the matter is that this is all a lesson.
We must loose the victim mentality. Forget about the horrible things that were done to you. Focus on the good things that you can do for yourself. Don't allow yourself to be victimized....ever!!!

I have never possessed the "victim" mentality. My life was taken from me by an extremely sick individual. Very hard just to "forget" it.
Those who forget the mistakes of the past.....what's that saying... are condemed to repeat them??? Because of this wonderful "lesson" I will probably NEVER, EVER trust another man again.
True, we have all had messed up stuff done to us by someone. They robbed us of some thing or another. The thing is that if you allow it to control what you do now then you are a victim. If you learn the lesson from it and move on a stronger person then you aren't a victim, you are a survivor!

IT IS OVER!
I have restarted my life totally and now things are falling into place. Remember where I had moved out of my place, I was looking for a job, and I was going through the divorce.
Today I have a descent job. It isn't my dream job but in this economy it will do. Though I haven't moved into my own place yet this is merely temporary and I will probably move sometime this summer. Enough time has passed and I have dated a lot. Now I have found a very sweet girlfriend that I have been dating for the last 4 months.
Things seldom go as planned. We must adapt and survive. It is easy to be defeated but is it a realistic solution?
but for now I need to focus on today, because it will be yesterday soon enough. Tomorrow is my future...
