Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
For what it's worth, I do think its inappropriate, but that's just me. I think you need to sit with your STBX and have a discussion about it- not a fight, a discussion. You are trying to do what is in the best interests of your children, but you can't do it alone if she absolutely refuses- unless it is in the divorce decree somehow.
As far as your ex, I agree she shouldn't be having sleepovers, BUT that's my personal opinion, and just goes in my personal "Wouldn't do it" column. She's free to do as she pleases.
At the end of the day, what is important is the kids. Listen to them, help them to find a solution that works for everyone. Support them and be available for them (as much as is possible). Your ex will do what she wants to but hopefully, she will be as concerned for the welfare of the children as you are. Good luck.
