Truffles are wonderful

Exactly Tangle, Harrison wrote about it because Clapton was kicking the habit by pigging out on chocolate. And the Savoy Truffle was supposed to be the best of the best. So do we have to go to London to find em?

And Bernie, what chardonnay, like a Grgich Hills? I was always more into the syrah or pinot noir with my chocolate.

Okay, here's an idea: Let's invite Paul and Ringo to try the truffle cheese thing and the chocolate truffle thing with us in London and tell us which one George would have preferred.

I don't know if we have to go to London to find them, but I would LIKE to go to London to find them. I'd go to London for almost any reason though--it's one of my favorite places, with or without truffles.

There is a local Ontario wine called Trius Lakeshore Chardonnay by Hillebarand Estates that I'm particularily fond of.

If you like pinots, Clos Jordan is a new Ontario winery that is putting out some nice Pinot's. They follow a Burgundy wine making style.

I heard that the canadian wine was beer with fruit punch added, it helps the nose. Is this true?

Normally we'd use Americain beer but we can't find the alcohol.

Its interesting to visit a winery and tour the vineyards. The way the wine growers describe the care that goes into trimming each vine, the amount of leaves they let each stalk have, the percentage of rock in the soil to absorb daytime heat and disperse that energy over the evening and night hours, the rate of evaporation is measured and debated between valley and mountainside vineyards, its interesting to note the science that goes into it.

Of course in canada they use science too. They figure the vines will thaw out sometime in June or July, and pray that they have some fruit to harvest and crush before the first freeze in, when is that Bernie, September, October? Yep, every year is a vintage year, in canada.

Of course if the wine doesn't set up properly, you can always throw a couple of olives in it and make up some fu fu name for the next martini craze.
