I love truffles. I have made them once. I have often looked them up on line. My mouth waters!

A who??? Sorry...if this is about chocolate....I've never even had Godiva...only Hersheys :)

Deb, truffles are the true essence of happy life. Perhaps you believe that therer are good things in life, a great bottle of wine, strawberries in bed, a great film, a night out on the town, dinner and a play, maybe a night of passion, but until you experience the most excellent of all vices, the prefect truffle, why, you just are deprived, and really don't have a proper yardstick to measure. I've traveled to many countries, tried truffles with the best of them, you can get ghiradellis at the wharf in san francisco, you can get those little mozart truffles in vienna, special liquor filled truffles in Switzerland or Belguim, yes these are good ones, but I"VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO FIND A SAVOY TRUFFLE ANYWHERE.

They are rumoured to exist in england, and that was the inspiration for the George Harrison song on The White Album. But alas, I've never had the good fortune of finding one, seeing one, or, dare I say it, experiencing one. Cruel universe.

I am with Deb, I have never ate a truffle. My heavenly chocolate is Russell Stovers Turtles...Love them.....

Truffle??? You know that a sailors diet consists of Salt pork and hard tack.....but not on my boat :)

I haven't been eating sweets....working on loosing some weight. Clothes are already falling off of me because I have been fighting my health of 2 months. Down about 30 pounds already

It is so frustrating, I can't even find a picture of a Savoy Truffle on google. But I changed my avatar to generic chocolate (not mushroom Nova) truffles, as someone did call me sweet today, so I deserve this.

I've had some pretty good truffles but nothing that are close to the true essence of a happy life. So I accept your suggestion for us to all go to England, Vienna, Switzerland, and Belgium to try those REALLY good ones. When can we leave?
