i had the same problem with my ex girlfriend and she kept leaving and i would keep taking her back. i know what its like to love someone even though they hurt you. i dont think you are being stupid. its not easy and you have 6 years in it. my ex had a lot of wonderful qualities and im sure yours does too. but she is a player... now i love her and hate her and i want to just be over it. i can relate to what your going through and its not easy to move on.

You aren't stupid, you are human. And when you decide that you have had enough, you will walk away from the situation. I know its hard - if it was easy, none of us would be here. :)

He only holds the power that you let him hold. Take some of your power back.

Just understand that his intentions are to use you. He plays you with disingenuous expressions and you take him back. He will continue to do this and you will continue to be hurt and place yourself at risk to acquire a disease from his screwing around. You will end this when you have truly had enough. Stand up for yourself and understand even when he is there, you are still alone. You will never have anyone truly in your life until you learn to respect yourself. Quit giving him chances and give him his walking papers and rebuild your own sense of dignity. He's counting on you not having any.

Hard as it may be, continue to move on. Don't respond to his cries of lonely nights when he is finally alone with no one else to snuggle up to.

Right now, he controls the situation. You let him do whatever he wants and he sees there are no real consequences. Why should he change?

There are clearly no consequences. He hasn't had your relationship truly put "at risk" because you're always waiting, willing, and allowing him to act this way.

He is an emotionally unavailable man. He swoops in when he wants you...the disengages and blows cold when he doesn't.

If he were mature, then he would know that you can't just screw someone else because you're "feeling bored."

You can do better, and I hope you see you deserve better as well.
