I went over to my ex's house to talk and go see a concert with him and we talked for a while. He believes he's found "the one".....and all I could do was smile.

I have never seen him so happy and glow so much when he talks about her. Of course it hurts that I couldnt be the one to make him that happy but this girl has known him for years unlike our relationship that we just jumped into without getting to know each other first. Problem is this girl has been through hell all through her life with a physically/emotionally abusive ex husband who uses their daughter to get what he wants out of her. Her mom gave up on her when she was little but now her mom is dieing and she cant bring herself to be there for her during her last few months. And her ex has been hounding her, saying horrible things and she ended up cheating on my ex because she thinks she's still in love with her ex husband....

however she did tell my ex what she did because she does love him, has loved him for years because he was always been there for her and he forgave her and still wants to be there for her even if they can only be friends. I cried so much after hearing all of this but I still want to see him happy, the way he so passionately talks about her and gets so giddy when he thinks on their memories I want to see him with her but that may not be for a while since she needs to work on herself.

I am happy for him, I am hurting because I did learn to love him despite the hell he put me through by emotionally abusing me. He is still a wonderful person and he is still learning........I really truly do want this to work out in his favor.
